Career Jwala
The Employment Exchange, in association with the Placement Cell, MSM College, Kayamkulam organized a seminar titled “Career Jwala” on interview preparation for undergraduate students. The programme aimed at equipping students with essential interview skills and preparing them for future career opportunities.
The seminar was effectively handled by the resource persons Ms. Annie John, Career Counsellor, and Ms. Alina Chandran, Employment Exchange Officer. The speakers provided valuable insights on interview techniques, career planning, and professional grooming, which were well received by the students.
A total of 92 undergraduate students participated in the programme and actively engaged in the session. The programme was informative and beneficial.
CAMPUS RECRUITMENT DRIVE
A campus recruitment drive was organized by the Placement Cell of M.S.M. College, Kayamkulam on 05 February 2026 at the college campus. The recruitment was conducted in association with Promise Educational Service, Alappuzha, for the positions of Tele caller and Operations Executive. The drive was conducted exclusively for female candidates with a minimum qualification of Degree or above.
A total of 26 candidates participated in the recruitment process. The selection process included preliminary screening and interviews conducted by the company representatives. After the initial rounds, 9 candidates were shortlisted for the final round of interviews, which is scheduled to be held on 12 February 2026.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Deepa K. P., Placement Officer (Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Mathematics), along with Ms. Sreelakshmi O. and Ms. Aparna Krishnan U., Assistant Professors (Contract), Department of Mathematics.
The recruitment drive provided a valuable platform for students and eligible candidates to explore employment opportunities and interact with recruiters. The Placement Cell ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the recruitment process.
Two Day Placement Grooming Workshop
A Two-Day Placement Grooming Workshop was successfully conducted by the Placement Cell of MSM College, Kayamkulam on 28th and 29th January at the College Conference Hall. The programme was organised with the objective of preparing students for campus placements and enhancing their employability skills.
The workshop was handled by the following trainers :

Ms. Sreelakshmi O, Assistant Professor (Contract), Department of Mathematics
Ms. Aparna Krishnan U, Assistant Professor (Contract), Department of Mathematics
A total of 108 students actively participated in the workshop. The sessions were highly interactive and engaging. Various activities such as logical and physical games, group discussions, and team-based activities were conducted to improve students’ communication skills, logical thinking, teamwork, leadership qualities, and self- confidence. The students thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and actively participated in all activities. The group discussions and team games were found to be especially useful in developing confidence and collaborative skills. The workshop created a positive learning environment and helped students overcome hesitation and fear related to interviews.
The programme was further enriched by a motivational speech delivered by the Vice Principal, Dr. Zameer K.H. His inspiring words and guidance were highly appreciated by the students, as it motivated them to face interviews with confidence and a positive mindset. At the end of the programme, students expressed that they felt highly motivated, confident, and ready to attend interviews. The feedback received from the participants was extremely positive, and the trainers were highly appreciated for their effective guidance, encouragement, and practical approach.
Overall, the workshop was a great success and proved to be highly beneficial in preparing students for placement interviews and future professional challenges.
2024-2025
Career Orientation Programme
On 24th February 2025, MSM College Placement Cell, in collaboration with the District Employment Exchange and Career Center, organized a Career Orientation Programme for final-year UG students. The session aimed to provide students with valuable insights into career opportunities, job placement strategies, and higher education options.
Trainers from the District Employment Exchange and Career Center shared essential guidance on resume building, interview preparation, and job search strategies. With active participation of students from various departments, the event proved to be an informative and engaging session that will help students in their career development.
